Most cable railing systems can be installed with standard hand tools and a few specialty items. For swaged fittings, you'll need a hand swaging tool or hydraulic swager to properly crimp the cable ends. Other common tools include a cable cutter, drill, level, tape measure, and wrench. For assemblies with pre-swaged fittings or surface-mount hardware, installation may be even more streamlined.
